Education has always been a weaker link in the journey of Pakistan. In the constitution we injected article 25A which holds state responsible for the education from the age to five to sixteen. However, sadly that is the only place this law is residing since the induction of this article in 1985 there hasn’t been any effort from the government to improve the situation.
Recently there was a lot of hue and cry against the private schools but the bitter reality is that private schools are responsible for the provision of quality education in Pakistan whereas it was actually government’s duty.
Alif Ailaan who has been working in the field of education unearthing facts about the state of education in Pakistan and exploring methods to fix these problems.
A couple of days ago Alif Ailaan came up with a video where the famous social pop character Wasu is explaining the poor state of education in Pakistan in his signature style. Take a listen and think how bad the things are don’t just get amused about it.
