Yasir Shah Became the Fastest Pakistani Bowler to Take 50 Test Wickets

Yasir Shah became the Fastest Pakistani bowler to take 50 wickets in Test cricket as he had Angelo Mathews out LBW for 77 in the second Test against Sri Lanka at P Sera Oval, Colombo.

Yasir is now part of a long list of players who achieved the landmark in their ninth Test, among whom are Ravichandran Ashwin, Andy Roberts, Colin Croft, Stuart MacGill, and Frank Tyson.

Yasir made his Test cricket debut in 2014 against Australia in UAE, and got overnight success.

The fastest bowler to the reach 50 test wickets landmark is Australia’s Charlie Turner, who achieved it in only six matches. Tom Richardson and Vernon Philander took seven matches each to get there.
