Zainab Roy Returns to Screens as News Anchor for Dunya News After Eight-Month Hiatus

Zainab Roy, an emerging name in Pakistani news broadcasting, is making her return to the screen after an eight-month hiatus. She has joined Dunya News as a news anchor, marking her comeback to the industry. Zainab was last seen on Bol News before the channel encountered a crisis, leading to layoffs of employees and anchors. Read more about the situation at Bol News here.

Zainab Roy, who completed her Master’s in Filmmaking and TV Production from the University of Punjab in Lahore in 2020, began her career as an intern at 7 News. She quickly transitioned to an associate producer role at the channel, where her impressive voiceover skills led to her debut in front of the camera as a news anchor. Although her time at 7 News was brief, it paved the way for her subsequent roles at City 42 and Koh-e-Noor TV. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Zainab continued to make her mark in the industry.

Her breakthrough came during her tenure at Capital TV, where she became one of the prime-time news anchors. This exposure eventually led to her position at Bol News in 2023. However, Roy took a break from the media late last year after being unjustly removed from Bol News.

In her conversation with MediaSpring.pk, Zainab Roy expressed her excitement about joining Dunya News, stating:

“I am thrilled to be back on screen and to be part of the Dunya News team. This is a new chapter in my career, and I am looking forward to bringing quality news to our viewers.”

Stay tuned to see Zainab Roy as she takes on her new role at Dunya News, bringing her experience and dedication to the forefront once again.
